How to Start Volunteering at a Hospice?

If you are interested in volunteering at Healing Care Hospice, give us a call at 888-414-5974 or email us at volunteer@healingcarehospice.com. It’s as simple as that. We have Administrative Volunteer opportunities in the office, which consist of clerical-type work supporting the office staff. 

Alternately, you may want to interact with our patients and families, in which case you may be interested in serving as a Patient Care Volunteer. These volunteers spend time with our patients, providing emotional support and companionship.

Hospice Volunteering Requirements: What You Should Expect

Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview, which will then be followed by an in-person interview. 

Once those steps are completed, you will be required to complete some paperwork, undergo a background check, and complete a series of training sessions. Afterwards, you will be ready to support our staff in the office or to start visiting our patients out in the field.
